How to prepare you and your horse for your photoshoot

This might surprise you - but the key to getting the most out of your session with me is your pre-consultation call.

When booking a session, we will have a brief chat about you, your horses and what you want to get out of your session, and you will get a welcome guide in the post fully packed with tips and tricks to get yourself ready, but it's at the pre-consultation a couple of weeks before your date that will make a big difference for your preparations.

We can go through things like

  • What you should be wearing and how many outfits you can have
  • What your horse should be wearing and should it be plaited
  • If you need a friend or groom with you to keep your horse looking smart and help with outfit changes
  • What happens if your horse doesn't want to stand still or just dive for the grass
  • What happens if it's raining or stormy

We are going to create beautiful and timeless pieces that will hang on your walls for many years to come, so it's important that we get the details right. I don't want you to be happy just a few months or a couple of years after your session, but that you after two decades still will look at the portraits of a younger you and a very beloved horse and still love them as much as you did the first time you saw them.
